Established in 1994 by Seyed Derhamy, Mt Albert Accountants have been in the business of helping our clients succeed in their business for over 25 years. We work for clients nationwide from our central Auckland location and manage all their accounting and taxation needs, small or big.

Our Story
We understand the entrepreneurial spirit and start-ups because we are one.
Seyed Taghi Derhamy immigrated to New Zealand in 1992 at a time of high unemployment. The lack of suitable employment opportunities led to Seyed, at the age of 48, starting a business in the family living room with one computer and his drive to serve his community. Since then Mt Albert Accountants has outgrown its location three times and now comprises of a team of six staff seeing to the accounting and tax needs of a growing number of business clients all over NZ. The core values of creating value for our clients and serving the community has established a culture of service at Mt Albert Accountants, and a strong, credible reputation with our clients.
In 2017 Seyed's daughter Somayeh, recognising the significance of her father's business to the community, joined Mt Albert Accountants to learn from her father and the MAA family. Seyed, Somayeh, Tazmin, and all of us at Mt Albert Accountants are here to help you build your business.
Meet The Team
Siti Rayati
Assistant Accountant
Siti has a Bachelor of banking from STIE Bandung University, Indonesia. She joined Mt Albert Accountants in 2001 and quickly became an integral part of the team. Siti cares about her clients a great deal and enjoys helping them with their accounting needs.
Suzanne Ireson
Receptionist
Suzanne has extensive experience working in office administration. She liases with clients and provides support to the accounting staff.
Suzanne was born and raised in Mt Albert and loves the character bungalows, local shops and green spaces which she walks past everyday.
Devenport and Cheltenham Beach are her favourite sea front destinations.
Heela Nabi
Accountant
Heela graduated from AUT with a Bachelor of Business, majoring in accounting. She has 10 years experience in tax & accounting and is a certified Xero advisor. Heela always aims to provide professional and attentive service to her clients.
Seyed Taghi Derhamy

Seyed has a Masters in Commerce from Birmingham University, where he was the top student, and a Masters of Science from Birkbeck College, University of London. Seyed has a calling to serve others and loves using his knowledge and skills to break down the most complex problems into simple manageable actions to get results.
Somayeh Derhamy

Somayeh is currently studying a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Studies part time at the University of Auckland with the goal of becoming a Chartered Accountant. She is a life long learner and has a passion to build and grow business and improve systems.
Tazmin Khan
Senior Accountant
Tazmin joined Mt Albert Accountants in 1994 as an intern, while studying Accounting at Unitec. She manages a wide portfolio of clients across a broad range of industries and heads up the accounting and taxation team. Tazmin enjoys working closely with clients to understand their needs and deliver high quality financial information so that they can make informed commercial and tax decisions.
